Yep it sure is upside down.  Want to know why?  Its that way on the real jet!

The #5 jet does multiple maneuvers inverted during the show. It's part tradition, part inside joke, as far as I can tell.

As #8, Thumper says during the narration: "You may have noticed during the ground show that the number five aircraft has it painted up-side-down, that's because our Lead Solo performs most of the maneuvers in the inverted position".
