Folks,

Part of the streaming tests, there will be a 30 minutes live stream the 24th October at GMT +2 from 8.45 pm to 9.15 pm.
Tests will be performed every wednesday as of now until VFAT on the mentionned time here above.

The stream will be the PSV school.

If you want to join, you will need the media player VLC.

You can download it here:
http://http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

When installed you will have to open VLC and select "file" then "open a file (advanced)" and paste the following URL:
http://http://stream.patrouille-suisse.net:13300/listen.pls

This new test session is part of the test procedure I'm putting in place for the VFAT. So your help is appreciated.

I will update each time here under the goal of the test. So here we go:

Test session of the 24th October:
- Check DNS round-robin and streaming servers cluster.

Each week I'll tst new things until VFAT.

Thanks for your help and feedback after the streaming in the present thread.

Looked good, but kept quiting on me, and had to push stop and then play to get it back.  It would run for about 2 minutes then stop.

Excellent,

it was the same for me, but it seems solved (21:30 local)

GREAT Job MANU, just your comments are two whispered, you can enhance your voice channel while commentating. That the only issue I can see...or hear.  ;)

Going back to the screen!

Hi,

Ok, noticed and found out that when looking very close to an aircraft it seems to freeze.
Will do some tests next week with a lower resolution.

Thanks for those who were there and hope to see you next week.

Hopefully wont have the freeze issue with some of the teams.  In my mind, and those of some others, for it to get the true airshow feel, it should be in F11 99.9% of the time.

About the F11-view: Does anyone know if it's possible to make the engine-sounds last for longer distances?? It sucks to have no sound when aircrafts are about 1km away...

I know that there is a sound mod out there that we implemented with our new mods this past year that makes the jets sound more realistic, and if I remember correctly, you can hear them a bit more from afar.

Sounds good! Can we implement it into the VFAT-mod?

F11 all the way baby!!!

And the camera man needs each team's show schedule (maneuver list), otherwise it will be a total abomination (Rhino knows why... from real world streaming experience). ;)

Can someone get that for the camera boys, and I need some guys to try to be the camera men, I cannot do that during 3 days and fly with my team.

The camera guy should have at least 400 kbps for the upstream. If extra, he can do what he wants with his line  :)

Thanks for your help

I did another streaming test during the week-end for another event.

No stream disruption with a fixed image so next stream will be 800*600 to see if this fixes the issue we have.
