Hi gentlemen!

This year the LLTM will have a Demo Section for the first time (even as there were aerobatic performances on the previous events).

Find everything about the event (incl. location, dates etc.) at HERE.

Teams interested in performing during that weekend, please contact me (laud@lowlandtigermeet.com) and I'll send you a detailed overview.

TY!

Will there be anything streamed or available for download as a spectator (unable to attend in person)?

Unfortunately due to real life circumstances the VTB will not be able to participate in LLTM. 2009 has dealt a heavy blow to many of our members this year and we are short staffed, many with more important things to take care of than attending our hobby.

Im not complete sure, how its gonna be this year but when i went to LLTM ´06 and ´07, the "host" of the LLTM  had a high potential of internet speed.

On ´07, we downloaded the 1 GB big Smoke On vid from Jabog server and it was done in a couple of minutes.
I think its worth to ask Iceman, the main organizer about the internet connection.

His name is just "Ice". Wink

Thanks for answering mates!

I'll post the Info-Doc I prepared here, so you get an impression on how things will be.

Read through it and maybe think about sending a "light"-team/program. If you like...

LLTM 2009 Demo Section

Information for participating Teams

All about the event itself (incl. date & location) can be found on the LLTM-Website:
www.lowlandtigermeet.com

Display-section responsible: Marc “Laud” Schöne ( laud@lowlandtigermeet.com )

About the the LLTM Demo-Section:
In the past, different team- and solo-displays have been shown on the large beamer screen at “Hangar23”, performed either live at Ahaus or via an internet-connection. At the 2008 event we decided to found an own section for virtual aerobatics at the LLTM. So here we are.

Limitations for participating teams/solos:
As we have to coordinate your performances and the ongoing competition missions of three simulation-sections (F4/IL2/LOMAC), each team will be limited to fly max. 45 minutes. The Shorter the diplays are the more teams can take part and the higher the tension of the audience will be. Maybe expect 15mins for preparations before and after flying and 30mins for the display itself. For now we will only be able to feature teams flying LO:FC/DCS:BS as I am not capable to be the camera-guy on any other simulation. Maybe in the future we’ll have some support for other sims too.

How we gonna do it:
Most likely you will not be present with your whole team, so you’ll be performing via the I-Net. You set up a server and load your mission. We’ll meet in TS or Ventrillo (whatever suits you better). I’ll take a spectator-slot on your server and send the pictures to beamer, making the show available to all at the “Hangar23” at Ahaus. You’ll have the choice whether your comms, music or both will be played on the speakers. Most probably there will be a live stream showing pictures from the event the whole weekend long. You may be interested to check out what’s going on there.

Required preparations:
-   I’ll need your mods
-   Your TS/Ventrillo data
-   A track or plan of your display (to do the cam-man job as good as possible)
-   Your music-tracks (if required)
-   Everything else you want to share with the audience (or me Wink )

-------------- Attention: All times will be GMT +2 (CEST) -------------

That’s all for now. Please send your questions, suggestions and applications to the email-address found at the top of this document!

Salute!

Marc “Laud” Schöne
