Country and Timezone:

Information about the team:
The Virtual Patriots Jet Demonstration Team was started in the fall of 2008. In 2009 the team has grown to a full diamond and 3 other support members. The mission of the Virtual Patriots is to faithfully and accurately replicate the demonstration flown by the Fry's Electronics Patriots Jet Team based in Byron, California. Their 4-ship L-39 demo is fast paced with constant action from beginning to end, and we aim to make it even more exciting. We provide the real team with ideas for new maneuvers and are working on new show music for their routine and possibly a new routine itself for the 2010 show season! Taking us under their wing, the Patriots Jet Team have integrated us as an official part of their team and we continue to work together to better the real and virtual flying experience.

More opportunities to work with the real team will be revealed as time goes on, but back to the virtual aspect of our team. The pilots for this year's demo team are as follows:

  • #1 Boss - Sien 'Sinister' Pileggi
  • #2 Right Wing - Anthony 'Blaze' Echavarria
  • #3 Left Wing - Ian 'Burner' Roberts
  • #4 Slot - Travis 'Bow' Munoz
  • #5 Narrator / Backup Boss - Chris 'STRIKER' Curtis
  • #6 Cameraman - Cory 'SilentEagle' Parks
We encourage you all to come over and join us on our Forums, and if you have any questions or comments for the virtual or the real Patriots, we'll be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Smoke On,
Blaze

The =RvE= virtual squadron has been founded back in 1999. For the last 10 years the team has never stopped to aim for perfection. And while in some areas like dogfighting the =RvE= tags are well known I would like to represent for the first time something different and unusual for us - a solo display of armed to the teeth Su-25 bomber.

Some could call it destiny, others coincidence but the fact is I joined =RvE= and Eagle Dynamics' Black Shark Beta team in one and the same week back in february 2007. Being charged with testing and consulting the programmers about the Ka-50's physical model exclusively I put a lot of efforts to contribute up to my best to have the helicopter on our desktops as it is today. Since with the release of the 1.0.1 patch the work with BS is pretty much done I said myself why not prepare some demo flight and just enjoy the product.. No more bug hunting, it's show time!

Started developing this solo display in early 2005. I was wondering what the limits of the Su-27 are, as well as the limits of the simulator Lock-on itself. It turned out into a compact display with spectacular maneuvers which are impossible or too dangerous to do in reality.

Maneuverability at its best! Grin
