VFAT 2010 Preliminary Registration Thread

In the "VFAT 2010 Preliminary Registration Thread", teams and solo pilots can sign up for participation at VFAT. For discussions and questions about VFAT, please visit the General Discussion or the Tech Corner of the Official VFAT Forums.

VFAT 2010 dates
The Virtual Festival of Aerobatic Teams 2010 will take place: December 03/04/05 2010.

VFAT 2010 Participation Requirements
During the month October, all the demonstrations signed up for VFAT will go through the "Airshow Quality Control".
The Airshow Quality Control is based on two elements. First, we have the VFAT ACE-Standards which is basically a guide for participants with a set of rules. Second, we have the Entertainment Level of the airshow. Both the ACE-Standards and the Entertainment Level will be judged by the VFAT Staff to decide which participants pass the Airshow Quality Control.

There are three ways to go through the Airshow Quality Control:
1: A live show on a private livestream channel.
2: A live show replay from a previous demonstration at VFAT or other event.
3: A track, though this will reduce the chance of an approval (we will only be able make a judgement by the ACE Standards, not the Entertainment level).

Before signing up, please read the VFAT 2010 Prebriefing

6. Number of aircraft and type: 1x Eurofighter Typhoon (2010 display)

8. Camera man + email: (required!) Ells - ells@veao.eu

9. Country and Timezone: (GMT+/-) UK - GMT (currently BST until October)

10. Information about the team:
VEAO was formed in 2009 to provide a Eurofighter Typhoon model for the British Royal Air Force Recruitment team with support from BAE Systems and Eventuality which was used at the Waddingotn International Air Show in 2009 and 2010.
Since then we have released an Fc1.12 version to the community and more recently an FC2 version of the Typhoon which is very much upgraded from the 1.12 version.
We are also working on an exciting new project for the Typhoon which will be showcased at VFAT2010.
VEAO Ltd is a registered company in England.

Pilot Info:
Julian "SkyHawk" Tirazona
Julian started flying flight simulators from a young age on Top Gun Fire At Will. Then he moved on to flight simulations by Novalogic, like F-16 Multirole Fighter, Mig-29 Fulcrum and F-22 Lightning III. He also has experience on Microsoft Flight Simulators, namely Flight Simulator 2002, 2004, and FSX. He flew with well-known teams on Il-2 Sturmovik 1946, the Blue Eagles Virtual Air Demonstration Team and the Virtual Horsemen. On Lock On Flaming Cliffs, he was a part of the Virtual Red Arrows for some time which gave him a lot of experience and together with the love for the Eurofighter, helped him to become the VEAO Eurofighter solo display pilot.

We would very much like the opportunity to fly for you this year to show the Typhoon in action and look forward to the Air Show Quality Control in October.

Best regards,
Chris.

The Virtual F-14 Tomcat Demonstration is a replica of the United States Navy decommissioned F-14.The Navy's Tomcat Demonstration Team represents the entire F-14 community in showing the capabilities of the venerable F-14 Tomcat. The performance itself showcases the awesome capability of the Tomcat, the F-14 is perhaps the most versatile fighter aircraft in the world. The sound, speed and size of the Navy's most versatile aircraft always steals the show. While quite a different spectacle from the multiplane Blue Angels, the power of a single F-14 flown at the edge of the envelope is something to behold.
